The Omanhene of the Kumawu Traditional Area, Barima Sarpong Tweneboa Kodua, has shared a story of how the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, swiftly responded to a concern he raised about security issues in his area.

Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to Kumawu on Sunday during the Vice President’s campaign visit, the Kumawumanhene said there were challenges with road patrols to combat increasing crime, and Dr. Bawumia responded beyond expectations when he made an appeal to him.

“I remember I appealed to you to support us with a pickup to address challenges with security patrols on our roads,” the Omanhene recalled while commending Dr. Bawumia.

“In less than a week, you responded with two pickups instead of one, and this has really improved security for our people.”

“On behalf of the traditional council, I want to express our sincere gratitude to you for your swift response and support.”

“We have seen what you have done, and we, the people of Kumawu, can testify. So continue your good works.”

“We pray for you; we pray for more courage, good health, and your success.”

On his bid to serve the country as president, the Omanhene also commended Bawumia for outlining a good vision for the country and urged him to continue spreading it to Ghanaians.

“You have good policies such as the flat rate tax, involvement of traditional rulers in governance, digitalisation, and many others. Continue to promote them. I believe God will reward you. I believe that Ghanaians will listen to you and offer you their support.”
