Musician and entertainment pundit Kojo Kinn has criticised Kuami Eugene for his comments regarding the promotion of songs he wrote for gospel musicians Joyce Blessing and Empress Gifty.

It could be recalled that in an interview, Kuami Eugene expressed disappointment that Joyce Blessing did not promote the song he wrote for her as effectively as Empress Gifty did.

However, during an interview on Adom TV, Kojo Kinn noted that Kuami Eugene’s remarks were insensitive. He stated that Joyce Blessing may have had valid reasons, such as a lack of funds or resources, which prevented her from promoting the song as much as Empress Gifty.

“As a writer, Kuami Eugene was being selfish. He was expecting the song to perform to a certain level but wasn’t considering the other factors that make a song successful.

“What he said wasn’t good. Because Joyce would hear it and feel bad. She had her reasons why she could not promote it as much as Empress Gifty. Maybe she didn’t have the funds or resources that Empress Gifty had to promote it,” he said.

Joyce Blessing’s ‘Victory’ written by Kuami Eugene was released in December 2023 while Empress Gifty’s ‘Watch Me’ was released in September 2024.
