Ghanaian musician Article Wan has shared an unfortunate encounter involving himself and highlife artiste Kuami Eugene.

In an interview with Angel FM on January 11, 2025, Article Wan said Kuami Eugene disrespected him over a song he released about three years ago.

According to Article Wan, Kuami Eugene criticised his song “That Thing,” featuring Patapaa, labelling it senseless and lacking understanding.

“Kuami Eugene granted an interview on GHOne, and I think he said something negative about Patapaa. Patapaa then sent it to me, and I even asked him to calm down. But he also included my name in the interview. So when someone sent me the video, I got angry, and my team retaliated,” Article Wan explained.

He further expressed the way he felt after chancing on Kuami Eugene’s demeaning comments.

“I felt very disrespected based on what Kuami Eugene said. Richie Mensah called me one day and apologised on his behalf. He even asked me to pull my tweets down, but I felt that Kuami Eugene was supported by a record label, while I was out here doing everything on my own. So I didn’t listen to Richie, but eventually, I pulled the tweets down,” he said.

Article Wan, however, spoke highly of Richie Mensah, Kuami Eugene’s boss, Richie Mensah.

“Sometimes I feel very bad because Richie Mensah called me, and I didn’t listen to him. I have met him a couple of times, but we didn’t have ample time to discuss such matters. He likes me too because he likes artistes who can create their beats,” he added.
