Asante Kotoko will be aiming to overturn a poor record against Nations FC when the two sides clash in a crucial Week 26 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors are yet to secure a league victory over Nations FC, having lost three and drawn two of their previous five meetings. The trend has become a growing concern for the Kumasi-based side as they push to remain competitive in the title race.

Kotoko head into the encounter under pressure, with interim coach Prince Yaw Owusu managing just one win, one draw, and two defeats in his first four matches in charge. The scrutiny has intensified following a visit to training by newly appointed board chairman James Brown, who urged the team to deliver a vital win.

Currently fifth on the table with 39 points, Kotoko remain within reach of the शीर्ष positions but cannot afford further slip-ups.

Nations FC, led by Frimpong Manso, arrive in strong form, unbeaten in their last three league matches. They also advanced to the FA Cup semi-finals after defeating Berekum Chelsea on penalties.

Sitting eighth with 34 points, Nations FC could boost their top-four ambitions with another positive result in Kumasi.
