The Owner and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko SC, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has constituted a new board for the Kumasi giants, according to an official statement released on Friday, February 27.
During the announcement at Manhyia, the Chief of Staff, Kofi Badu, presided over a meeting where the newly formed Board was formally introduced to the club’s Interim Management Committee. He urged both sides to collaborate effectively to ensure a smooth transition.
The new Board will be chaired by the CEO of Joshob Construction, James Osei Brown, with the CEO of Rocksure, Kwasi Osei Ofori, serving as Vice-Chairman.
Also joining the Board is the Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, Kofi Amoa-Abban, who becomes one of the notable industry figures included in the new leadership structure.
Despite the shake-up, the Interim Management Committee will continue to run the club until the end of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season, with IMC Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah pledging full support to help the newly appointed Board succeed.
