The senior brother of Asante Kotoko midfielder, Samuel Tenedu has been killed following a robbery attack at his residence in Obuasi Asonkore.

The deceased, identified as Danso, had returned to Ghana from abroad just five days earlier for a short holiday.

According to his wife, the deceased was scheduled to leave the country again this Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The incident, according to reports, occurred at their home in Obuasi Asonkore, where unknown armed robbers allegedly broke into the house in the night.

The attackers reportedly demanded money and threatened the victim’s wife during the ordeal.

“The armed robbers told me to show them where the money was, or they’d kill me, so I showed them where the money was. They tied my mouth and told me not to shout,” the victim’s wife recounted the events leading up to the attack.

She added that her husband did not resist the attackers.

“He didn’t struggle with them. Once they opened the door, they struck my husband in the head,” she added.

Speaking further, she revealed that Danso had been looking forward to returning abroad after his brief stay in Ghana.

“Danso had come for holidays, and he was even telling me he would leave this Sunday,” she stated.

Following the tragedy, Samuel Tenedu has been released from Asante Kotoko’s camp to spend time mourning with his family.
