    Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars’ opponents in the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup have been confirmed following the draw held today, August 9, 2025.

    In the Champions League, Bibiani Gold Stars will face Algerian side JS Kabylie in the first preliminary round of their maiden campaign.

    The Bibiani-based club will host the first leg in Ghana between September 19 and 21, 2025 before traveling to Algeria for the return fixture between September 26 and 28, 2025.

    If they advance, Gold Stars will meet either East End Lions of Sierra Leone or Tunisia’s US Monastir in the second preliminary round.

    The two sides will first contest their opening-round tie to determine who progresses.

    In the CAF Confederation Cup, Asante Kotoko will face Nigerian side Kwara United in their first preliminary match between September 19 and 21, before traveling to Nigeria for the second leg between September 26 and 28, 2025. Should they progress, they will set up a clash with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in October 2025.

    The Porcupine Warriors are making their first appearance in the Confederation Cup since 2022, after struggling to maintain top form in recent seasons.

    Both Gold Stars and Kotoko will be aiming to make the nation proud by advancing beyond the group stage and perhaps ending Ghana’s long wait for a continental trophy.
