Sports minister Kofi Adams has urged the Ghana Football Association to strengthen the Black Stars’ video analysis team as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Currently, Belgian coach Gregory de Grauwe serves as the team’s sole video analyst and handles set-piece duties.

De Grauwe, who joined the technical set-up earlier this year and holds a UEFA B license, has earned praise for his influence on the squad. But Adams believes Ghana must expand that area to be competitive on the global stage.

Speaking to UTV, the Member of Parliament for Buem stressed the need for a more robust backroom team.

“The area of the video analyst must be improved, and I don’t think we should go to the World Cup with two video analysts,” the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency told UTV.

“I have my own way, we should have video analysts at the World Cup,” he added.

Ghana will discover its group opponents when the draw is held on December 5. After crashing out at the group stage in Qatar 2022, the Black Stars are intent on making a stronger impression at next year’s tournament.
