    These are the nominees for the 2025 Business Development category of the GhanaWeb Excellence Awards These are the nominees for the 2025 Business Development category of the GhanaWeb Excellence Awards

    GhanaWeb recently announced the nominees for the 2025 Edition of its annual GhanaWeb Excellence Awards.

    These nominees have been categorised into more than 20 categories.

    And as a way of bringing readers to speed on who and who have been nominated, here are brief profiles of some of them.

    All of the following have been nominated under the Business Development category.

    Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo

    Akpeloo is a Ghanaian economist, technology entrepreneur, and business leader. He is the Founder and CEO of SUKU Technologies, a company that provides digital and IT solutions to businesses and institutions in Ghana and beyond.

    He has served as Chairman of the Greater Accra Region of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and, in 2024, was elected Chairperson of the Trade and Industry Cluster of the African Union ECOSOCC, becoming the first West African to hold that office.

    Akpeloo holds degrees in Economics, and Economic Policy Management from the

    University of Ghana and has participated in international programs such as the Mandela Washington Fellowship. He is widely recognised for promoting digital transformation, SME development, and industrial growth in Africa. Cleanse has been nominated for Best Business Developer in the GhanaWeb Excellence Award 2025

    Israella Kafui Mansu

    Mansu is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and business leader, best known as the Founder and CEO of Mansuki Ghana Limited (MGL Naturals) a natural cosmetics manufacturing company producing organic body and hair care products sold locally and internationally.

    After graduating from the University of Ghana with a degree in Consumer Science and Psychology, she faced unemployment and used her savings to start a business in 2009, initially making products from her kitchen. Under her leadership, MGL Naturals has grown into a respected brand with a wide range of natural skincare and hair products, and exports to other markets in Africa, Europe, the United States, and Asia.

    The company also focuses on job creation and empowering rural women and youth through training and employment. Mansu has received several recognitions, including awards in Ghana and internationally, and has been featured in business programs and startup competitions. Kafui has been nominated for Best Business Developer in the GhanaWeb Excellence Award 2025

    Kevin Okyere

    Okyere is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and business leader in the energy sector. He is best known as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Springfield Group, a key Ghanaian energy company in oil and gas exploration., storage, trading, and distribution. Okyere grew up in an entrepreneurial family and showed business ambition from a young age.

    He studied Accounting at George Mason University in the United States before returning to Ghana to pursue business opportunities. He founded Springfield Energy in 2008, starting with importing petroleum products and later expanding into oil exploration and production.

    Under his leadership, the Springfield Group grew into a billion-dollar energy conglomerate with operations in Ghana and beyond, including exploration successes at West Cape Three Points Block 2.

    Okyere is also known for his philanthropic efforts, including support for education and healthcare through foundations associated with his business ventures. Kevin has been nominated for Best Business Development in the GhanaWeb Excellence Award 2025

    Ayisha Fuseni

    Fuseni is a Ghanaian social entrepreneur and founder-CEO of Asheba Enterprise, a business she started in 2013 in the Northern Region of Ghana. She works with rural women organising over 600 women into cooperatives to produce and process high-quality shea butter and shea butter based beauty products such as soaps and body creams.

    Her company also supports women through training, financial services, and access to better markets, including supplying shea butter to international buyers. Ayisha holds a Diploma in Business Administration and has been recognised for her work in business development and innovation, including winning Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Innovation of the Year awards at the Invest in Africa Awards.

    She is a mother of three and a committed advocate for women’s economic empowerment Ayisha has been nominated for Best Business Developer in the GhanaWeb Excellence

    Award 2025

    Richard Nii Armah Quaye

    Quaye is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, investor, and business leader from Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region. He is best known as the founder of Bills Micro Credit (originally Quick Credit) and Quick Angels Limited, companies that provide financial services and equity investment to small businesses and startups in Ghana.

    Richard is the CEO of Chicken man, Pizza man, Burger king etc. Quaye is currently the President of RNAQ Holdings, the parent company that oversees

    his business interests after stepping down as CEO and Board Chairman of Quick

    Angels and Bills Micro Credit in 2025 to focus on broader investment and youth‑empowerment initiatives.

    He is recognised for supporting entrepreneurship and financial inclusion, helping grow local brands and creating opportunities for small and medium enterprises.

    Quaye has also been featured in publications like Forbes for his impact and received awards such as the Young Achiever Male Award at the Exclusive Men of the Year Africa Awards.

    Richard Nii Armah Quaye has been nominated for Best Business Developer in the GhanaWeb Excellence Award 2025.
