King Paluta’s response to his chances of winning Artiste of the Year at next year’s music award schemes was humble yet confident. The rapper-turned-singer, known for his hit songs in 2024, refrained from self-aggrandizement and chose to focus on the possibilities.

“It could happen, but I don’t want to brag,” he said. “I want to stay humble. Some people say I should boast when I speak, but I prefer to keep it humble all the time.”

During his appearance on The Delay Show on Saturday, King Paluta listed some of his chart-topping hits from the year to make his case for deserving the top award at all major Ghanaian music awards in 2025, recognizing works from 2024.

“I know I can win, just like I won New Artiste of the Year,” he shared with Deloris Frimpong Manso. “This year, who has really delivered the biggest hits? I’m not saying others haven’t released good music, but who is reigning? King Paluta King!”

In 2024, King Paluta cemented his brand in the Ghanaian music scene with ‘Aseda’, a song that praised God for a breakthrough after over fifteen years in the industry. He followed up with ‘Makoma’, a monster hit, before capping it off with ‘For The Popping’, which has also been well-received by music lovers.

He has featured on several hit songs, including ‘Odo Bi Ye Bad’ by Rapp Fada, ‘NLF Remix’ by Camidoh, ‘Soja Go, Soja Come’ by Eno Barony, ‘Specia Love’ by Wendy Shay, ‘Sika’ by DJ Vyrusky & KiDi, and ‘Muscatella’ by Tulenkey.

King Paluta has performed on major stages both locally and internationally and released an album titled ‘Give Time Some Time’.

According to the Ghana Music Awards category definition, the Artiste of the Year is the artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board, and the General Public as having the highest audience appeal and popularity in the year under review. The artiste(s) must have released a hit single, EP, or album and be among the most-nominated artistes in the year under review.
