Ghanaian rapper and singer King Paluta has expressed confidence in his chances of winning the coveted “Artist of the Year” award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Speaking on The Delay Show which is hosted by Deloris Frimpong Manso for the second time this year, King Paluta made a bold statement about his dominance in the music scene throughout 2024.

When Delay asked him who he believes deserves the top award next year, King Paluta sarcastically responded, ” Even though I don’t want to brag but the records are there for everyone to see.”

He added, “Ask yourself, who has all the hit songs this year and the best features? If you’re being honest, you’ll come to your own conclusion.”

King Paluta’s confidence isn’t baseless. His 2024 achievements have solidified his position as one of Ghana’s most outstanding musicians.

His debut album, Give Time Some Time, even though it was released just some days ago has received a lot of positive feedback.

One of the album’s standout track, “Aseda,” in the year under review became one of the most streamed Ghanaian song of the year.

Also, his single “Makoma” dominated charts, amassing over one million streams on Audiomack and topping platforms like YouTube, Apple Music, and Shazam.

Furthermore, his features on Wendy Shay’s “Special Love,” Tulenkey’s “Muscatella,” and Camidoh’s “NFL” enhanced his reputation as a versatile artist capable of excelling across genres.

King Paluta’s efforts earned him the “New Artiste of the Year” award at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards so his decision to eye for the most coveted award come 2025 is not misplaced at all.
