Ghanaian musician, King Paluta, has praised the Ghana Education Service (GES) after his hit song “Aseda” was featured in the just-ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

On June 17, 2025, King Paluta, became a trending topic on social media after his award-winning song was included in the Music and Creative Arts paper.

In Section B of this year’s exam, students were asked to identify two important social issues addressed in his song “Aseda.”

The exam question read: “King Paluta, whose real name is Thomas Adjei Wireko, is a Ghanaian musician known for blending traditional rhythms, storytelling, and modern hip-hop beats in his music. One of his most popular songs, ‘Aseda’, carries deep messages that address important issues in Ghanaian society.

    Identify two of these issues.”

Reacting to the social media buzz, King Paluta expressed excitement and gratitude to GES for the recognition.

“I don’t know if it’s really true, but I heard there was a question in the BECE exams today about me. I’m popping the champagne already,” he stated.

Netizens have since taken to various platforms to congratulate the musician on this unique achievement, calling it a major milestone in his career.

One user wrote: “You’ve done so much for Ghanaian music ever since you started gaining recognition as an A-list artiste. I really respect you for that, King Paluta.”
