‘Sabuto,’ also known as Prince Acheampong, the head coach of King Faisal, passed away following a protracted illness.
The 52-year-old passed away on Tuesday afternoon after being admitted to the hospital for a number of days due to an unidentified illness.
The In Shaa Boys hired Acheampong in January 2025 to replace Barnabas Awuni, who was fired because of the team’s erratic start to the Division One League.
After week 15, King Faisal has 20 points, placing him eighth on the Zone 2 log.
The news has “saddened” Asante Kotoko, who also said that they are praying for the deceased’s “family, loved ones, and entire King Faisal fraternity.”
