KiDi believes Fameye has the talent, perspective and wisdom to occupy a much bigger space in Ghana’s music industry than he currently does.

The award-winning singer singled out his colleague for special praise, describing Fameye’s approach to music as exceptional and suggesting that his level of recognition does not fully reflect his abilities.

KiDi made the comments during an interview on Hitz FM on September 15, 2026, while reflecting on his own journey as a musician and the lessons he has picked up throughout his career.

For much of his career, KiDi has written and produced his own records. He explained that while he once took pride in handling nearly every aspect of his music himself, his perspective has changed with experience.

According to him, working with people who have a natural gift for songwriting and production can play an important role in taking an artiste’s music to another level.

“When I was coming up and because of where we’re from, I used to think that when I say I wrote my songs myself and produced them myself, I would be proud and happy. I used to do it, and I’ve done that for the last 10 years of my career,” he said.

KiDi said his experience has taught him that some of the biggest names in music rely on specialists who bring particular strengths to the creative process.

“The people that are at the place that we’re trying to get to, the people who are there, this is how they operate, and that’s why their songs are up there. Some people are born to write music and produce music. I feel like from where we are, it’s nice to say I did everything, but I’ve done that all my career.”

It was in that context that KiDi highlighted Fameye as an artiste whose abilities deserve greater attention.

The ‘Nothing’ hitmaker said Fameye’s understanding of music goes beyond the ordinary, particularly in the way he thinks, creates and communicates through his songs.

“I feel like Fameye is one of the artistes in this country that people know, but I feel he is supposed to be even bigger than he is. His mind, the way he approaches music, is just on a different level,” he indicated.

KiDi further praised Fameye for the depth of thought and wisdom he believes are evident in his work.

“If you tell me Fameye was one of Jesus’ disciples, I will believe it because of the depth in his knowledge and wisdom,” he added.
