Former Black Stars midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng

Ibrahim Sannie Daara, a former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has described former Former Black Stars midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng as an opportunist.

According to the CAF Media Officer who was a strong advocate for the inclusion of Kevin-Prince Boateng into the Black Stars, the Former AC Milan player was an opportunist who used the national team to elevate his career at the time.

Ibrahim Sannie Daara who is against the inclusion of Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the Black Stars urged the officials of the GFA not to repeat the Kevin-Prince Boateng mistake.

World Cup: Black Stars players will be paid on time – President Mahama assures

He said in an interview on Metro TV that Boateng was always ready to play in the World Cup but declined to participate in the AFCON or qualifiers over frivolous excuses.

“I regret advocating for Kevin-Prince Boateng to be part of the Black Stars. I advocated for him to come because i thought he was a good player and come help the team. The FA didn’t even want to do it but i put in some pressure and the switch went through.”

“Paul do you know that Kevin-Prince Boateng never played in an AFCON qualifier? He looked too opportunistic to me when he came to the national team. The fact that he won’t play in an AFCON qualifier against DR Congo but three days later he wanted to play the friendly game against England at Wembley,” Ibrahim Sannie Daara said.
