In recognition of his services to the club and the bright future that lies ahead, the management and players of Kenpong Football Academy held a special farewell event for prodigious talent Bossman Afirim Debra, who is set to make his first major international move.
The talented youngster is on the verge of sealing an incredible deal with the Norwegian side Stabaek and Kenpong Football Academy sent him off with a touching and inspirational farewell program that will leave lasting memories not just for him but for the entire playing body.
Before his departure from the academy’s base in Winneba in the Central Region, Bossman Debra was presented with a jersey signed by all his teammates. He was also given a guard of honor by his teammates, who gave him resounding applause, affirming their happiness for him and their prayers for his success at Stabaek.
Debra addressed his teammates for the last time, while the coaches at Kenpong Football Academy offered important counseling and prayers as he prepares to navigate this significant chapter in his promising career.
Legendary Ghanaian coach J.E. Sarpong urged him to work hard and remain humble and focused, emphasizing that these are the keys to success in his career.
An emotional Bossman Debra expressed gratitude to the management of the academy, including the owner, Kennedy Agyapong (alias Kenpong), as well as the coaches and players for their support and dedication.
Bossman Debra’s move to Stabaek follows extensive efforts and engagements with European clubs by the academy’s owner and Ghanaian business magnate, Kenpong.
Over the past few years, Kenpong has invested heavily in the academy and embarked on a mission to establish partnerships with several European clubs. This ambition, which is set to open significant opportunities for players of Kenpong Football Academy, has led to partnerships with clubs in Norway, France, Spain (FC Barcelona), Switzerland, and beyond. Reports indicate that Kenpong is currently out of the country making further moves for his players.
Reports indicate that thanks to the groundwork laid by Kenpong and the outstanding efforts of the coaching team at Kenpong Football Academy, a good number of players will, in the coming months, join major European clubs either on a permanent basis or for initial trials.
