Karela United rallied from behind to claim a hard-fought 2-1 win over visiting Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The Pride and Passion boys were keen on securing all three points to boost their survival hopes but the visitors grabbed the opportunity to open the scoring in the 44th minute.

Emmanuel Abban broke the deadlock at the death of the first half to give the Hunters a deserved lead.

Karela showed resilience and kept pushing for the equalizer with a spirited performance after recess.

Their pressure paid off with Baba Moro Abdulai restoring parity for the hosts in the 76th minute.

Eric Antwi completed the comeback by scoring what proved to be the winner for the Pride and Passion five minutes later.

This crucial win moves Karela out of the danger zone to 15th position on 22 points. The Hunters were denied a third win on the spin and they occupy 5th position on the league standings with 36 points.

Karela remain at home for their next match against Legon Cities. Bechem United will be on the road again to Dreams FC.
