The family of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, popularly known as Kantanka, has issued a clarification on his age, asserting that he was 113 years old at the time of his death.
In a statement shared on the official Facebook page of Kantanka Television on Friday, September 19, the family dismissed earlier conflicting dates as inaccurate and urged the public to disregard them.

“26th August, 1912, is the official birthdate of the Star of Africa, Emeritus Prof. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. Kindly Disregard Other Dates In Circulation,” the statement read.
Initial reports and tributes shared after Apostle Kantanka’s passing on September 11, 2025, gave his birthdate as August 26, 1948, making him 77 at death.
