Ghanaian youngster Joseph Opoku is enjoying a standout run of form, continuing his impressive performances for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League relegation round.
The 20-year-old winger recently provided an assist in his side’s 2-0 victory over RAAL La Louvière, setting up Marley Aké for the opening goal before being substituted after 70 minutes.
Opoku’s influence has been significant, having been directly involved in 50 percent of his team’s goals since the start of the relegation playoffs, underlining his importance in their attacking setup.
His recent assist adds to an already impressive outing in which he scored both goals in a 2-1 win over FCV Dender, further highlighting his consistency in front of goal.
With seven goals and six assists in the league this season, Opoku is quickly establishing himself as one of the key players for Zulte Waregem as they push to maintain their status.
