Ghanaian young-sensation Joseph Opoku delivered a match-winning performance, scoring twice to lead Zulte Waregem to a precious 1-2 away victory over FCV Dender in the Belgian Pro League relegation playoff round.

After a quiet first half that ended goalless at the Dender Football Complex, Opoku came alive in the second half to turn the game in his side’s favour.

The 20-year-old winger broke the deadlock in the 55th minute before doubling the lead just seven minutes later with another clinical finish to put Zulte Waregem firmly in control.

Opoku’s brace proved decisive as his side held on to secure all three points away from home and are now on top with their survival chances very high at the moment.
