The Indianapolis Colts are in talks to trade star running back Jonathan Taylor after a meeting with owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon regarding his future.
The Colts are in fire sale mode after a 2-5 start to the season and they fired general manager Chris Ballard earlier this month.
All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson has already been traded to the Seattle Seahawks while star defensive lineman DeForest Buckner has returned to the San Francisco 49ers.
According to ESPN, talks over Taylor are now ‘active and ongoing’ with a host of teams reaching out to enquire about the superstar running back.
Taylor, 27, led the league in rushing yards in 2021 and scored more rushing touchdowns than any other player last year.
The Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks have all been named by ESPN as teams that have expressed interest.

Taylor reportedly had a meeting with Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon this week to discuss his future.
It is claimed the owner ‘would prefer for Taylor to be a part of their rebuild’, but talks over a trade have still stepped up given the potential value he could bring in.
The Colts are reportedly looking for a massive haul for Taylor, similar to the deal that sent Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers to the San Francisco 49ers in 2022 for second, third, fourth and fifth-round draft picks.
Taylor, who received a $15 million signing bonus before the season and is under contract for $15 million in 2027 and $9.46 million in 2028, discussed his predicament on Thursday, October 29.
‘I haven’t heard anything,’ Taylor told the media. ‘I can’t control that. Obviously, you guys know that I’m always proud to wear the horseshoe.
‘I’m always proud to be here…. But obviously, circumstances may cause otherwise. Hopefully that day may not come, but I can’t control that.
‘The only thing that I can control is rallying these guys in the locker room, helping us put together a great plan and executing a great plan for Jacksonville because it’s a division game and they’re licking their chops right now. They think they’re going to kick us while we’re down and that has to be the point of emphasis.’
Taylor’s wife, Ayanna, also weighed in on social media, sharing her concerns over what their future as a family holds.

‘But now Chris Ballard gets fired, Quenton Nelson is traded, is literally anybody safe on this team?’ Ayanna said on Instagram.
‘I’ve never known the Colts organization without these people, and it kind of feels like rookie year all over again. So naturally, my mind is spiraling.
‘Is this the start of the trading frenzy? What does this mean for my husband and I? Do I need to start packing our bags?
‘Are we even going to be spending our daughter’s first Halloween together? Will we make it to game day, or was last week the last time my husband will be putting on a Colts jersey?’.
