Ghanaian tennis stars Johnson Acquah and Georgette Nortey have emerged as the champions of the male and female editions of the 2025 Tennis Professionals Ghana (TPG) tournament.

In the male category, Johnson Acquah defeated Sackey 6-1, 6-0 to book a place in the finals, while Richard Nii Ankrah beat Nyameke 6-4, 3-0 (retired) in a highly contested match.

In the finals, Johnson Acquah, who has won the trophy on numerous occasions, secured a 6-0, 6-0 dominant victory over Nii Ankrah to clinch the title.

In the women’s edition, Nortey beat Nunana 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the next stage, while Joy Oriaku defeated Vera Narh 6-4, 6-4 to break through to the finals.

In the finals, Georgette Nortey showed her supremacy by overcoming her opponent Joy Oriaku 6-2, 6-2 to claim the women’s title.

Acquah and Nortey’s victories put them at the forefront of Ghanaian tennis as they work hard to compete at the international level.
