The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has inaugurated the newly constituted Board of Directors for the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo), urging the members to take decisive action to address long-standing operational challenges facing the utility provider.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in Accra on October 14, 2025, John Jinapor emphasised the importance of NEDCo’s role in Ghana’s national energy supply chain, particularly in the northern regions.

You are expected to strengthen revenue collection systems, drive effective customer engagement, and most importantly, ensure that the lights are kept on at all times,” he stated.
