The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has donated GH¢50,000 to Yapei United Football Club to support the team’s operations and promote sports development in the Yapei Kusawgu Constituency of the Savannah Region.

The gesture, according to Jinapor, forms part of his broader commitment to empowering the youth and using sports as a tool for unity, discipline, and community growth.

“Sports have the power to unite our people and inspire our young ones to aim higher. I believe Yapei United can go far with the right support and discipline,” the minister said.

He emphasised that investing in sports is not just about recreation but also about nurturing talent, building teamwork, and creating opportunities for young people to excel both locally and nationally.

Officials of Yapei United Football Club and community members expressed deep appreciation for Jinapor’s continuous support, describing him as a leader who prioritises youth empowerment and grassroots development.

The donation adds to a series of initiatives the minister has spearheaded in the Yapei Kusawgu Constituency aimed at improving education, sports, and livelihoods, in line with his vision of holistic community advancement.

Jinapor reaffirmed his commitment to supporting youth-focused projects that foster personal growth, social cohesion and economic development.

“When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of our communities.

Together, we can build a Yapei Kusawgu that thrives on talent, unity and opportunity,” he stated.
