Energy minister-designate John Abdulai Jinapor has taken a swipe at the opposition New Patriotic Party over claims that he has flown in a private jet to Nigeria at the expense of the taxpayer.

According to him, they are lies from people in the New Patriotic Party who have failed to learn lessons from their bitter loss.

In a post shared via social media, John Jinapor denied ever travelling to Nigeria in a private jet at the expense of Ghanaians, indicating that he would not do such a thing considering the financial state of Ghana.

His post read, “It looks like these NPP minions and propagandists have not learned any lessons from their abysmal and embarrassing 38% defeat.

“For the records, I have not spent one GHS1 of state funds on any trip since my nomination and subsequent vetting. With this attitude, I am pretty sure they are bound for a 28% mark in 2028, if not less”.
