Former Black Stars defender, John Boye has reportedly embraced photography as his new profession after retiring from football.
According to reports, John Boye has transitioned into a full time photography following years of commanding performances at the heart of defence.
The veteran centre-back built a lasting career abroad, spending significant time in the French Ligue 1 with Rennes and later Metz.
His consistency and physical presence earned him respect in France before he continued his journey in Turkey, featuring for Sivasspor and Kayseri Erciyesspor.

On the international stage, Boye was a familiar figure in the Black Stars setup for nearly a decade.
He represented Ghana at five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, playing a key role during the country’s run to the 2015 AFCON final.
He was also part of Ghana’s squad at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, competing on the biggest stage of international football.
While official confirmation is yet to be made, the reported switch to photography signals a fresh chapter for the experienced defender, who now appears ready to channel his focus and discipline from the pitch into the creative field.
