Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician Joseph Oscar Mettle, popularly known as Joe Mettle, has delivered a powerful rendition of fast-rising gospel artiste Paul Enana’s hit single, “Baba God.”

The 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year ministered the widely acclaimed song during a live performance at the ICGC Hallel Temple on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Joe Mettle’s surprise performance of “Baba God” was an unexpected yet heartwarming moment for Paul Enana, who has often cited Joe Mettle as one of his biggest inspirations in the gospel music industry.

Since its release, “Baba God” has gained massive traction, enjoying extensive airplay on radio, television, and social media platforms.

The song continues to dominate playlists in churches, on the streets, and at gospel events, affirming its place as one of the biggest gospel songs of the year.

Industry observers have tipped “Baba God” as a strong contender for nominations at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, given its widespread impact and popularity.

Joe Mettle’s performance further cements the song’s growing influence and recognition within Ghana’s gospel music scene, underscoring Paul Enana’s rising prominence as one of the genre’s most promising voices.
