Reigning Ghana Women’s Footballer of the Year, Jennifer Kankam Yeboah, continued her impressive form in the Indian Women’s League by inspiring Odisha FC to a hard-fought draw on Saturday, April 1, 2025.

Following an extraordinary stint at ZED FC in Egypt, where she netted an astounding 57 goals in 30 matches, the prolific striker was signed by Odisha to bolster their squad. She showcased her prowess during their match against Kickstart.

With Odisha needing crucial points, they took the lead just seconds before halftime. Youngster Lynda Serto headed in a pinpoint cross from Yeboah to make it 1-0.

Despite Odisha’s dominance, Kickstart mounted a comeback, scoring twice within four minutes to take a 2-1 lead.

However, with 11 minutes remaining, Yeboah found herself through on goal after a well-executed build-up. Calm and composed, she expertly placed the ball past the goalkeeper to level the score at 2-2.

The draw lifts Odisha out of the relegation zone, with the team now holding 12 points from 11 games.
