Granite Chin Promotions has announced its signing of former amateur boxing standout Jenn Perella (4-1, 1 KO) to an exclusive promotional contract.
Perella, fighting out of Milton (MA), is coming off her fourth victory as a prizefighter, defeating Brittany Dukes on the November 15th “Boston Harbor Fight Night” card, co-promoted by Granite Chin Promotions.
“Jenn has become a staple on Granite Chin shows so signing her was on top of my priority list after the event at Encore,” Granite Chin Promotions president Chris Traietti said. “Over the last year or so I became a fan of hers both in and out of the ring. Her story is incredible and inspirational, and she has real skills in the ring. As a promoter, it makes my job easy. I am honored that she trusts me with her career over the next couple of years. 2026 is going to be special, I have no doubt.”
“I’ve fought on Chris’ last three shows,” Perella explained why she signed with Granite Chin Promotions. “His shows are great, and I know he’ll really look out for me. Chris believes in me, and I know he will get me to the next level. He was a fighter, so we have the same mindset. He gets it! Chris is part of our team that will be the extra stepping-stone for my career. I want to get to the top and I’m working every day to make that title a reality.
“As a female in a male dominant sport, it was important for me that he reached out to sign me. Not a lot of female boxers are signed with promoters. We are going to have great things happen in 2026.”
A 3-sport star at Milton High, the 42-year-old Perella went on to become a varsity field hockey player at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. She started boxing in 2015, fighting in a charity event to raise awareness of breast cancer. She ended her amateur career with a 16-4 record, highlighted by her silver-medal performance at the 2024 National Golden Gloves, in addition to being a 2-time New England Golden Gloves Champion.
“As a 42-year-old mom of two,” Perella said, “I know I’m not the typical story in boxing, and that’s exactly why I’m here. I’m not chasing a fantasy; I’m chasing a goal. I’ve earned through discipline, resilience, and a whole lot of experience. I want to take my boxing career all the way to a title.
“I’m proving to myself, my kids and anyone watching that it’s never too late to bet on yourself. I’m training smarter, harder, and with more purpose than ever. My journey is about pushing limits, rewriting expectations, and showing that strength doesn’t expire with age or motherhood.”
Perella is trained by Nick Cyr at Muscle & Flow gym in Milton. Outside of the ring, Jenn is an event planner and personal trainer. She credits her husband, (Boston Fire Department Captain) Anthony, for being so supportive of her career, along with their two children, 15-year-old Julianna and 13-year-old Joseph.
