Ghanaian cruiserweight boxer, Jacob Dickson has revealed his boyhood dreams, which lay far from the boxing ring, as he confessed his deep passion for football that once shaped his youth.
Speaking on GhanaWeb’s Sport Check show with Joel Eshun, Dickson shared, “I didn’t want to become a boxer, never thought about it. I wanted to be a football player.”
“When growing up I support Manchester United and idolize Christiano Ronaldo, I play inter schools competition as a striker and they call me ‘Ronaldo,” he shared.

But things changed when fate introduced him to trainer Kayiloko, leading Dickson to join the boxing team and swap his football boots for boxing gloves.
“But I met Kayiloko and joined the team and here we are. Everything happens for a reason,” he reflected.
