Ghanaian movie star Jackie Appiah has achieved another significant milestone by winning the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

Jackie triumphed over notable contenders, including Unati Faku, Laura Pepple, Girley Jazama, Ife Irele, Oyin Oladejo, and Uzoamaka Aniunoh, to claim this prestigious honour for her outstanding performance in the film Red Carpet.

The popular Ghanaian movie features a star-studded cast of Ghanaian actors, including Adjetey Annan, Kalsoume Sinare, Roselyn Ngissah, Ekow Blankson, Oscar Provencal, Juliet Ibrahim, and others.

Looking stunning in a silver sequin-embellished gown, with flawless makeup and beautifully styled hair, Jackie Appiah showcased her status as a beauty icon in the industry at the 2024 AMAAs.

This year’s AMAAs was held in Lagos, Nigeria, and attracted a host of attendees from across Africa.
