Ghanaian rapper Opanka has set the record straight on speculation surrounding his two-year stay in the United States.

The award-winning rapper has clarified that it had nothing to do with a pause in his music career.

Instead, the artist revealed that the time was spent pursuing further education.

In a recent interview, the rapper, who has long been recognized for impacting Ghana’s music industry, emphasized his dedication to personal growth through learning.

“My two years living in the States had nothing to do with me putting my music career on hold,” Opanka stated. “The power of social media and technology means you can travel abroad for shows while still keeping your music alive. That’s why I traveled.”

He highlighted how digital platforms have revolutionized the music industry, allowing artists to remain connected to their audiences regardless of location.

“You could be in Ghana, and people outside Ghana will hear your music. Similarly, you can be abroad, and people in Ghana will still access it. For instance, posting on YouTube or digital stores works the same globally,” he explained.

Opanka’s explanation sheds light on how artists today can balance personal growth and career aspirations without geographical limitations.

His story serves as an example of how modern technology enables musicians to maintain their presence in the industry while pursuing other endeavors.
