Popular media personality and host of Peace FM’s flagship program Kokrokoo, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has firmly denied recent rumors alleging his dismissal from Despite Media Group.

The claims, which circulated widely on social media, suggested that the veteran broadcaster had been sacked by the management of Despite Media for allegedly making their brand “unpopular.”

The rumors, allegedly propagated by sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), further claimed that Sefa Kayi had sought the intervention of prominent individuals in society to reverse the decision, but his efforts had been unsuccessful.

However, in a recent interview, Sefa Kayi has set the record straight, describing the reports as entirely false and baseless.

“I am still gainfully employed and continue to do my work as I have always done,” Sefa Kayi stated emphatically during the interview.

He urged the public to disregard the rumors, emphasizing that such falsehoods should not be tolerated. “These are just distractions, and I won’t let them take my focus away from my work,” he added.

Kwame Sefa Kayi, affectionately known as “The Chairman,” has been a prominent figure in Ghanaian media for decades.

His morning show, Kokrokoo, is one of the most listened-to programs in the country, and his influence in shaping public discourse is widely recognized.

His association with Despite Media Group, one of Ghana’s leading media conglomerates, has been a longstanding and successful partnership.

on his work, urging the public to rely on credible sources for information and to avoid spreading unverified claims. “Let’s not give life to falsehoods,” he concluded. “We have a responsibility to uphold the truth.”
