Ivan Bruce Cudjoe has officially filed his nomination to contest for the presidency of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) ahead of the association’s upcoming Congress and Elections scheduled for June 4, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The businessman and travel consultant, popularly known as IBC, submitted his documents to the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the GBA on Tuesday before addressing members of the media on his vision for Ghana boxing.

According to Cudjoe, his decision to contest stems from a desire to promote transparency, discipline, and better governance within the sport. He also pledged to expand boxing development across all 16 regions of Ghana in order to identify and nurture hidden talents into future champions.

The aspiring GBA President promised to improve the welfare of retired boxers and coaches by advocating opportunities for them within the National Sports Authority as talent scouts for amateur boxing.

Cudjoe further assured national title holders of greater opportunities to challenge for Commonwealth titles and gain representation in global boxing bodies such as the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO rankings.

Meanwhile, Ellis Quaye has also filed to contest for the position of Second Vice President.

The IMC is expected to hold a stakeholders meeting on Wednesday to discuss arrangements for free and fair elections.
