The head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has stressed that his team has not given up on winning the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.

The team is currently third in the league standings and just six points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.

This weekend, Heart of Lions will take on Legon Cities FC in a Week 29 clash of the campaign.

Speaking ahead of the game, Bashir Hayford said his team is keen on securing a win to improve their chances of lifting the league title at the end of the season.

“We are expecting a win. We have to make sure we get some points because life at the top is not easy. We have done well, but we are striving to go higher.

“It’s not over until it’s over. We have five matches to go. That’s about 15 points. We are trying to get 10 points, and we’ll see where it takes us. We are still on course,” Coach Bashir Hayford told the media team of Heart of Lions.

The match between Legon Cities FC and Heart of Lions will kick off at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
