Ghanaian TikTok sensation and budding music promoter Ananzo is still holding onto the $5,000 gifted to him by Afrobeats superstar Davido, months after the viral moment that changed his life.

In a recent interview, Ananzo revealed that the generous cash gift remains untouched, even as his career continues to skyrocket.

“I have not touched the $5,000 Davido gave me. It is there,” he said, adding that he will disclose his plans for the money “in the media soon.”

Ananzo’s journey into the spotlight began in April 2025 when a video of him passionately performing Davido’s hit song “With You,” featuring Omah Lay, captured hearts on TikTok. Shot at a car wash in Takoradi, the raw and emotional video quickly gained traction, eventually catching Davido’s eye.

The Nigerian music star shared the video and responded with a promise that took the internet by storm: “5K US FOR YOU,” he wrote. True to his word, Davido fulfilled the pledge through his team, a moment Ananzo now sees as divine intervention.

“I believe God transformed himself into Davido to come and bless me and my team,” he said with heartfelt sincerity.

Since then, Ananzo’s social media profile has exploded. His TikTok followers jumped from 91,000 to over 600,000, and the viral video has amassed more than 16 million views and 2 million likes.

Despite the attention, Ananzo has chosen to remain grounded. He continues working at the car wash while building his dreams in music promotion. For him, the money is less about spending and more about purpose.
