Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy has finally broken his silence on the much-discussed clash between his Up & Running Tour concert and R2Bees’ Ghana 68th Independence Concert & After Party, which are both scheduled to take place in London on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Speaking to Adesope Olajide, host of The Afrobeats Podcast, ahead of his upcoming concert, Stonebwoy did not hold back his thoughts, describing the situation as “shameful.”

He made it clear that neither he nor his brothers, R2Bees, were responsible for the scheduling conflict, stressing that the issue stemmed from a deeper problem within the Ghanaian music industry.

“It’s not my fault, and it’s definitely not R2Bees’ fault either,” Stonebwoy stated.

Stonebwoy went on to point out that his concert at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire was announced way back in November 2024, giving fans and organizers ample time to plan accordingly.

Yet, despite the early notice, the R2Bees show, organized by Alordia, Akwaaba, and Westcoast, was scheduled for the same day at Indigo at The O2, setting the stage for an unfortunate showdown.

It should be noted that already the clash has stirred a wave of reactions from fans online. Supporters of Stonebwoy are hyped for his show, which will feature highlife sensation Fameye and rising star Arathejay.

On the other hand, R2Bees’ concert aims to celebrate Ghana’s rich musical heritage as part of the 68th Independence celebrations in the UK.
