The Founder and Leader of Darul Tawheed Institute in Tamale, Sheikh Dr. Abu Dujana Ibn Basha has commended President John Mahama for his intervention in resolving the issues between the Hajj Taskforce and some pilgrims yet to be airlifted to the Holy Land.

According to him, the President’s swift intervention has brought some relief to travelers which he said is a good mark of leadership.

Some of the travelers had visa issues with many of them emanating from the government protocol list.

Delivering a Jummah prayer sermon in Accra on Friday, Dr. Abu Dujana said the President has intervened and asked that proper arrangement be made quickly to allow them airlift all the people to Saudi Arabia.

The Islamic Scholars expressed his excitement and prayed for the President.

“He stepped in and all the issues have been resolved. He asked that the task force should solve the visa issues to enable them airlift everyone to the Holy Land” he said.

He added that, “this shows the President has a good heat for the Muslim population in Ghana. The President deserves some commendations for this kind gesture.”

Over 40 of the Pilgrims have errors in the visa application process and other issues according to the Hajj Taskforce.

The Hajj Taskforce revealed that “Over 5,500 Pilgrims have successfully been airlifted to Saudi Arabia with an outstanding 425 yet to be airlifted on Wednesday.”
