Ghanaian sprinter Isaac Botsio finished fourth in the men’s 60 metres final at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, clocking 6.67 seconds to earn five valuable points for West Texas A&M University.

Botsio, the reigning NCAA Division II outdoor champion, delivered a strong performance to reach his first indoor final in two years. Competing in a highly competitive field, the Ghanaian matched the same time of 6.67 seconds he recorded when he finished second in the event in 2024.

Despite narrowly missing out on a podium finish this time, the result highlighted his consistency at the collegiate level and his ability to perform on the championship stage.

Botsio’s teammate and fellow Ghanaian sprinter James Dadzie also impressed in the final, finishing fifth with a time of 6.69 seconds to add further points for the Buffaloes.

The performances of the two athletes capped a positive outing for West Texas A&M at the championship.

With the outdoor season approaching, attention will now turn to Botsio as he prepares to defend his NCAA Division II outdoor title in the months ahead.
