Inter Milan have paid an emotional tribute to outgoing manager, Simone Inzaghi, following his departure from the club by mutual agreement, just days after their 5-0 Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a heartfelt video shared across the club’s social media platforms, the Nerazzurri honoured Inzaghi’s time at the helm, showcasing highlights of his tenure, from trophy celebrations to touchline passion, and thanking him for his service.
Inzaghi, 49, took charge of Inter in 2021 and delivered a respectable haul of silverware during his four-year spell, winning one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, and three Supercoppa Italiana titles.
He also led the club to two Champions League finals, a narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester City in 2023, followed by the recent humbling against PSG.
Despite narrowly missing out on the 2024–25 Serie A title by just a point to Napoli, Inzaghi’s tenure will be remembered for restoring consistency and competitiveness to Inter both domestically and in Europe.
His exit comes just ahead of the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States between June 14 and July 13, 2025, where Inter are set to compete, as are Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal, the club Inzaghi has been heavily linked with.
While Inter begin the search for a new head coach, the club’s tribute signals the end of an era and underlines their appreciation for Inzaghi’s contributions to their modern resurgence.
