Techiman Eleven Wonders’ struggles on the pitch are now being matched by shocking revelations by former coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong.

Speaking to Sporty FM on Monday, November 24, 2025, coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong lifted the lid on the harsh realities facing players at the Ghana Premier League side during his brief tenure.

Sarpong, who resigned after barely a month in charge, painted a picture of a team grappling with hunger and poor logistics.

“Last week, before the team travelled to face Hohoe United, the boys didn’t train for three days because they said they hadn’t eaten and didn’t have the energy to train. Soldiers do not fight on hungry stomachs,” Sarpong revealed.

The coach also disclosed that logistical issues forced the squad into uncomfortable situations.

“We were short of fuel for the team bus, so the players had to travel in a trotro just to get to the game,” Sarpong added.

Eleven Wonders’ struggles have been evident on the field as well.

Currently sitting at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with just three points from 11 games, the team managed to salvage a point in dramatic fashion against Hohoe United on Sunday, November 23, 2025, scoring in the dying minutes.

Sarpong’s short stint began on Sunday, November 2, 2025, when he was appointed to take over from Nii Odartey Lamptey. After three winless matches, the experienced coach decided to step aside, a move that surprised many fans given the circumstances he later described.
