Athletic Club forward Iñaki Williams was on target once again as he scored the equaliser in their 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano in round 26 of La Liga over the weekend.

The 31-year-old made the starting line-up and is gradually finding his form after series of injuries in the early stages of the season. He netted his second of the season and lasted the entire duration of the game

Inaki, after a keen-contested action, found the net in the 47th minute to cancel out Jorge de Frutos’ first-half opener, which had given Rayo the lead after 35 minutes of action.

His goal takes his tally to two goals and two assists in 17 league matches this season, as he continues to provide key attacking output for the Basque side.

The draw leaves Athletic Club sitting 8th on the league table with 35 points as they continue their push for a strong finish.

Athletic Club now turn their attention to their next assignment, a crucial semi-final second leg clash against Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey.
