Priscilla Wan is a Ghanaian content creator

Ghanaian content creator Priscilla Wan has stirred up debate with her recent comments, claiming that in today’s era, women who have children out of wedlock, commonly referred to as baby mamas, are the ones benefiting financially from men more than married women.

Speaking on Adom TV on August 26, 2025, Priscy stated that baby mamas now enjoy more privileges than wives, especially in terms of financial support.

Although she admitted she is not yet married but hopes to be one day, she emphasised that modern-day baby mamas often hold a special place in men’s lives.

“Not saying this to disrespect married women, I’m not married yet but I want to get married one day. In this era, baby mamas are the ones cashing out. Now men marry the women and keep them in their home.

“He got the woman a ring so she could stay home, make plans with him, he knows she is home and he knows there’s someone taking care of his kids. The baby mama stands for someone who makes the man happy and comfortable” she said.

She explained that some men marry for the sake of stability at home, someone to raise the kids and manage the household, while turning to their baby mamas or side chicks for emotional satisfaction and enjoyment.

“He gives the woman a ring so she can stay home and make plans with him. He knows she’s there, taking care of his kids. But the baby mama? She’s the one who makes him happy and comfortable,” she added.

Priscy went on to share that based on conversations she has had with some men, many of them admit that their side chicks, not their wives, are the source of their happiness.

“Some men I know claimed their side chicks are the ones making them happy because they don’t get the happiness from the wives. Since I had the conversation with the men and I know what they could do, I would have to psyche my mind when going into marriage that my husband at a point in time go for another woman” she revealed.
