The Black Queens of Ghana kicked off their 2026 Pink Ladies Cup tournament with an emphatic 4-0 win over Hong Kong.

The two sides clashed at the Al-Hamriya Sports Club Stadium in the UAE on Saturday afternoon.

After a slow start, the Queens broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through FC Nordsjaelland forward Princess Marfo, who finished off a well-worked move to open the scoring.

Ten minutes later, Doris Boaduwaa capitalised on a defensive blunder to slot home Ghana’s second, giving the team a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into the break.

After recess, Nottingham Forest attacker Chantelle Hlorkah-Boye made it 3-0 after Hong Kong failed to deal with a teasing corner from Comfort Yeboah. Boaduwaa later won a penalty in the 54th minute but saw her effort saved.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies star Ajegipina Zakaria marked her debut in style with a stunning late goal to seal the victory.

Following the victory, the Black Queens will return to camp for recovery before preparing for their second fixture against Russia on Tuesday, March 3, at the same venue.

The games form part of Black Queens preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament scheduled to be hosted in Morocco next month.
