Member of Parliament for Agona West, Cynthia Morrison has indicated that she is still a Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency.

She says she is an MP on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has not resigned from the political party.

Cynthia Morrison debunked claims that she has taken cash from the NPP to rescind her decision to contest the seat as an independent candidate in the Agona West constituency.

“I am the Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency on the ticket of the NPP but I will be contesting for the seat as an Independent candidate. I cannot comment on the issues because the lawyers are the ones who can.

There are people in my house as I speak who are coming to ask if it is true I’ve gone to take money to rescind my decision. I must place it on record that I am still contesting and I’ve not taken any money to step down,” she said.
