May 29th, Dragon Fire Boxing hits the Metro City Arena for the second time this year with the 54th edition of the iconic Thunderdome series, featuring a stacked card.
One of the main events features undefeated Michael “Big Bad” Bazley (2-0) taking on Ryan Williams for the Western Australian State Championship.
Williams opened up about his title fight challenge:
“As this is my second chance at fighting for the state title, it means a lot to me and could be my last time. As time is no longer on my side, being in my mid-40s, it’s now or never for me.
“BIG BAD BAZLEY is a big lad with a lot of power and two great wins under his belt. I watched both of his fights and was impressed—he’s a good fighter, and that’s what I wanted: to test myself against good fighters. We were meant to meet in November, but I crushed my hand at work and was out of action for nearly four months. It’s been a long recovery and very trying at times. I nearly threw in the towel and called it time on boxing, but there was a voice in my head saying, ‘You’ve got this—let’s go just one more time.’
“And come fight night, I’m leaving everything in the ring. May the best man win.”
You’re not going to want to miss this one!
Tickets are on sale now at megatix.com.au, and the event will be broadcast by LiveCombatSports.com.au.
