Popular media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has shared how being dismissed from Multimedia Group years ago served as a turning point that shaped her career for the better.
Speaking on The Delay Show during an interview with veteran broadcaster Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Delay recounted her exit from Multimedia, sharing how she was shocked by the unexpected firing.
“I always wanted to work there, but my destiny was not there. One morning, Nuamah called me and asked me never to step foot there again. At that time, I didn’t understand it.
“I didn’t know why they were sacking me when I hadn’t done anything untoward. But if I hadn’t left, I wouldn’t have been here. Sometimes, God redirects our path, but because we’re humans, we don’t see it. So, I’m grateful for the dismissal,” she said.
Her comments followed Akumaa Mama Zimbi’s own story on what had kept her with Multimedia for over two decades.

The veteran broadcaster admitted she once promised Multimedia founder, Kwasi Twum, that she would stay committed despite the challenges.
“I thank God for giving me that level of patience to be there for 25 years,” Akumaa said.
