Norwich City midfielder Forson Amankwah says he is targeting playing at the 2026 World Cup with the Black Stars.
Ghana are on the verge of securing qualification for the tournament, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
The Black Stars enhanced their chances following back-to-back wins against Chad and Madagascar in the Matchday 5 and 6 games in March earlier this year.
With four matches to end the qualifiers, Amankwah, who made his debut for the senior national team a year ago, is aiming to play at the Mundial next year.
“Definitely, I’m dreaming of going to the World Cup because if you’re a football player, especially a young player playing in the World Cup says a lot,” he told Flashscore.
“I think it’s really good to be part, because I want to be part, so I need to do everything to be part of the squad,” he added.
Ghana will face Chad and Mali in the Matchday 7 and 8 games in September before wrapping up their qualifiers in October against Comoros and the Central African Republic.
The four-time African champions currently sit at the top of Group I with 15 points.
