Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State-designate for Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State-designate for Government Communications

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State-designate for Government Communications, has joined the campaign for the urgent revival of Ghana football.

In an interview with TV3, Kwakye Ofosu lamented the state of Ghana football, calling for immediate steps to remedy the situation.

Kwakye Ofosu stated that due to the poor state of football in the country, Ghanaians have become disinterested in the game.

He stated that Ghanaians no longer recognize the players in the Ghana Premier League due to the terrible state of the game.

“These days, I claim I support Hearts of Oak, but I don’t even know one player from the club, nor do I know one player from Asante Kotoko.

“Sports is essentially dead in this country, and even rekindling public interest to support national teams has become difficult,” he said.

Ofosu Kwakye’s observations come amid growing calls for the revival of Ghana football.

Ex-Ghanaian footballer Sulley Muntari is one of such persons, making the calls and urging authorities to help resuscitate the Ghana Premier League.
