Ghana’s self-styled Amapiano king, DJ Azonto, has once again made headlines after issuing a stern warning to rapper Sarkodie over the use of his newly coined slogan, “Attassa.”

In his latest interview, the “Fa No Fom” hitmaker stressed that “Attassa” belongs exclusively to him, just like his other signature phrases, including Fa No Fom, Ala Woyo, Azonto A Confirmie, and Make Dem Tell You.

According to DJ Azonto, if Sarkodie dares to use the term “Attassa” in any of his songs or branding, he will not hesitate to sue him for a staggering $500 billion with two sureties attached.

“I had a dream that Sarkodie had used my term ‘Attassa’ in his song, and I want to publicly state that any unauthorised usage by King Sark will lead to a $500 billion investment into my DJ Azonto Microfinance with two sureties attached,” DJ Azonto declared.

The controversial artiste further warned other creatives to stay away from the slogan. “I know some artistes will intentionally use the term for hype, but I am ready to take any artiste who steals this term to court,” he added.

DJ Azonto, who recently released his new single “Check N See (Fully Active),” said protecting his slogans is part of surviving in Ghana’s music industry.

He urged fans to continue supporting his music and look forward to the official release of “Attassa” on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
